Jane was born on August 4, 1944 at St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa to Tony and Mildred (Polking) Pick. She grew up on a farm west of Breda and was proud to attend St. Bernard High School. She loved to tell of the friends and fond memories she had of her Breda Bobcat days.
After high school Jane attended Commercial Extension business college in Omaha. Upon graduating with a medical secretarial degree, she returned to Breda to live and started her career working at the Kuker Clinic (now named McFarland Clinic) in Carroll. She performed many duties in the business office in her 56-year career there.
Jane was united in marriage to Loran Reising on September 5,1964. To that union their daughter Renee was born. After Loran passed away, Jane was united in marriage to Denny Kluver on May 19th, 1972 at St. Bernard’s Church in Breda, Iowa. To that union Keri and Kathi were born where they resided west of Breda on the family farm.
Jane loved life to the fullest. She loved her family above all. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and was their biggest advocate in all they did. Jane also loved life on the farm. She would enjoy afternoons in the yard with her flowers or finding a good book to read on the porch. Another favorite of Jane’s was weekly coffee, lunch, and cards with her friends. She is also known by the entire family for her angel food cakes and delicious ham balls. She truly enjoyed all of the little things in life and looked for the good in each day.
