Marilyn Wuebker, 89 of Mt. Carmel, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish - Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Richter. Con-Celebrant will be Fr. Gary Snyder. Mass Servers will be Charlie Drees and Zander Kasperbauer. Music will be by Dr. Franklyn Busby, Pastoral Musician and the Holy Spirit Resurrection Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Julie Kennebeck. Marilyn’s great-grandchildren will present the offertory gifts. Eucharistic Minister will be Chad Driscoll. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Julie Kennebeck, Jodie Driscoll, Kendall Cleveland, Nicole Schapman, and Caylee Ng. Casket Bearers will be: Austin Wuebker, Adam Wuebker, Josh Pudenz, Ryan Pudenz, Shane Pudenz, Morgan Wuebker, and Matt Cleveland. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Thursday where there will be a rosary at 5 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m.
The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church on Friday morning where additional visitation will be held from 9:30-10:15 a.m.

Born on July 13, 1930 at Mt. Carmel, Iowa, Marilyn was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Berger) Ortner. She spent her entire lifetime in the Mt. Carmel area, attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and later graduated from St. Angela Academy in Carroll. On November 24, 1951, Marilyn was united in marriage to Lowell Wuebker at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel. The couple made their home southwest of Mt. Carmel where Marilyn was a devoted homemaker and also assisted her husband with the farm operation. Marilyn also worked for several years at General Electric in Carroll as well as Little Gus’s in Maple River.
She enjoyed fishing, and socializing with her many friends at Little Gus’s. Marilyn loved hosting her family for the holidays and other various occasions and thoroughly enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a member of St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Jane Knudsen and her husband Roger of Williamsburg, Lynn “Whip” Wuebker of Maple River, Dean Wuebker and his wife Bambi of North Mankato, MN, and Lee Wuebker and his wife Lori of Lake View; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sylvia Onken of Pocahontas, Jane (Don) Drees of Carroll, and Leota Borkowski of Carroll; her sister-in-law , Marilyn Ortner of Pittsville, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lowell in 2016; her son, Daryl Wuebker; her sister, Clarise Pudenz; and her brother, Justin Ortner.
