Mary Katherine Kisgen Nichols, age 95, of Sun City, Arizona died Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Royal Oaks in Sun City, AZ

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. The Celebrant will be Fr. Terry Roder.

The family will receive family and friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the church.

Mary Katherine was born on April 27, 1927 at Templeton, Iowa. She attended school in Templeton and then attended nursing school.

She was employed at several hospitals, with the last one being St. Jude Hospital.

She is survived by her son: James (Deborah) Nichols, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as her sister: Jeanne (Earl) Neu.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Nichols on February 20, 1977, her son Richard Nichols on November 22, 2016; her grandson William Nichols on September 7, 2004; and five brothers and four sisters.
