Linda Bluml, 75 of Halbur, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at her home near Halbur, surrounded by her family.
Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur. The Celebrant will be Fr. Merlin Schrad. Concelebrant will be Fr. Lynn Bruch. Music will be by Kathy Halbur and Sherry Loughran. Gift Bearers will be Abbey Bueltel, Makayla Bueltel, Wyatt Bluml, and Lincoln Bluml. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Mike Riesberg. Casket Bearers will be Troy Bluml, Frank Bluml, Dave Bueltel, Tyler Bueltel, Mason Bluml, Miles Bluml, and Kurt Steinkamp. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for a later designation.

Linda, daughter of Leonard and Dorothy (Wieland) Madigan, was born August 4, 1946. She grew up on the family farm near Maple River. Linda was united in marriage to Arden Bluml on April 22, 1967, at St Joesph’s Catholic Church in Carroll. Following their marriage, Arden and Linda made their home west of Halbur, creating many memories with their family and treasured grandchildren. Linda was vibrant, making friends wherever she went, and had very dear friends in the community that she loved spending time with.
Linda is survived by her husband Arden of Halbur. Her children Gail (Dave) Bueltel of Templeton, Troy Bluml of Carroll, Julie Bluml (Kurt Steinkamp) of Urbandale, and Frank (Morgan) Bluml of Ankeny. Grandchildren include Abbey, Tyler, and Makayla Bueltel, Mason and Miles Bluml, and Wyatt and Lincoln Bluml. Her sisters Jeanine (Michael) Stilwill of Frisco, Texas and Maureen (Bruce) Schulz of Carroll. Her sister-in-laws Gloria Riesberg of Urbandale and Sharon Kobald of Upland, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Dorothy. Her in-laws Frank and Florence Bluml. Her brother in-laws and sister in-law Duane Riesberg, James Kobald, and Frank and Marion Comine.
