Randy James Berg was born on October 2, 1959, in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Donald C. and Ardella M. (Singsank) Berg. He spent his entire lifetime in the Westside community and attended St. John School in Arcadia, later graduating from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1978. Randy was a next generation farmer and acquired the Berg Family Farm north of Westside where he loved the land and continued to farm until his leukemia diagnosis in early 2022.
