I have accepted a new assignment at the request of Bishop Nickless who needs my expertise and to cover two parishes who have lost their pastor who is undergoing cancer treatment.  As of Tuesday July 2, I will become the pastor of the parishes of Immaculate Conception in Cherokee and Our Lady of Good Counsel in Holstein with residence in Cherokee.  In 2015 there were 463 families with 145 K-12 students at Cherokee and 95 families with 48 K-12 students at Holstein with 40.8% of Cherokee parishioners and 62.3% of Holstein parishioners attending Sunday Mass.
 
I love the people of the six [6] parishes of Christ the King Community and wish I could stay to continue to minister with you.  However, my vow of obedience to the bishop is important to me as a priest of the Diocese and I will go where I am asked to go.
 
News regarding the new pastor of the six [6] parishes will be announced later.
