Marjorie "Margie" Hacker, 94 of Halbur, died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Swan Place in Carroll.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, with Fr. Lynn Bruch officiating. Casket Bearers will be Margie’s grandchildren. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Halbur.

Marjorie Ann Hinners was born on April 28, 1926, on the family farm to Art and Loretta (Trecker) Hinners. She attended St Angela Academy graduating in 1943. She returned to the family farm helping with her younger siblings until her marriage to Raymond Hacker, September 22, 1948. Together they raised 5 children and had 72 wonderful years of marriage. Margie was a bookkeeper for several businesses in Halbur. She retired in 1989. Margie enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting dishcloths, designing quilts, reading, and golfing. Her main focus was on family. She loved flowers and babies! She was a member of St Augustine Parish, Ladies Guild, RSVP and was an active volunteer in the Halbur community.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Hacker; her sons: P.J. Hacker, Norfolk, VA, and Ronald Hacker (Brenda Hardin), Ankeny; her daughters: Donna Noring (Larry Duarte), Aurora, Co, Sheri Leiting, Carroll, and Peggy Rodenborn (Butch), Twin Lakes; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers: Arden (Judy) Hinners, Carroll, Larry (Della) Hinners, Manning and Jack (Lois)Hinners, Halbur; her sisters-in-law: Lois Hinners, Carroll, Margaret Hinners, Manning, Helen Hinners, Halbur, her brother-in-law: Hank Darveaux, Pipestone, MN;
as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Loretta Hinners; her brothers: Don, Vernon and Dick Hinners; her sisters: Jeanette Eischeid and Dolores Darveaux.
