Eugene Snyder, age 64, of Breda, died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Gary Snyder presiding. A celebration of Eugene’s life will be held in the Sharp Center immediately following the prayer service. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Eugene’s grandchildren: Bryce, Kaylee, Evelyn, Zack, Henry, Lacey, Tatym, and Cassidy. Private family burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Breda.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll.

Eugene, the son of Leo and Carole (Knobbe) Snyder was born on May 7, 1957 at Lake City, Iowa. Grew up north of Breda and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1975. On May 22, 1976, he was united in marriage to Joyce Tunning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham. The couple made their home north of Breda where Eugene owned and operated Snyder Construction. Eugene was known for his love of building many different things. He prided himself on fixing any challenge provided to him. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially spoiling his grandchildren.
Left to celebrate his life is his wife Joyce of Breda, their children Cheri (Kyle) Stalder of Jefferson, Jason (Danielle) Snyder of Jefferson, and Jeff (Leah) Snyder of Mt. Carmel; eight grandchildren: Bryce, Kaylee, Evelyn, Zack, Henry, Lacey, Tatym, Cassidy; siblings: Nancy (Ron) Hauser of Carroll, Mary Jane (Erwin) Haberl of Maple River, Bob Snyder of Manning, Linda (Duane) Armstead of Greenfield; sibling-in-laws: Dave (Jen) Tunning of Carroll, Diane (Dan) Owen of Carroll, Richard (Connie) Tunning of Dedham, Cindy (Roger) Kasperbauer of Dedham, Patty Alley of Maple River, Charolette Tunning, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and friends.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Norbert and Hilda Tunning; and his sibling- in-laws: Connie Snyder, Kenny Tunning, Norbert Jr. Tunning.
