Phyllis Redlinger, age 88, of Breda, died Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Twilight Acres Nursing Home in Wall Lake.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2019 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Breda. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Pick. Music will be by Marilyn Hundling at the St. Bernard’s Choir with Scott Masching as soloist. Lectors will be Renea Seagren, and Pat Koster. Gift Bearers will be Carrie Hansen, Tricia Hoffman, Laura Voss, Sarah Reis, and Naomi Reis. Casket Bearers will be Peter Reis, Brian Hansen, Quentin Buswell, Toby Hoffman, Chris Voss, and Justin Hansen. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Breda after 3 p.m. on Sunday where there will be a Rosary prayed at 4 p.m., and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 5:30 p.m.
Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9-9:30 a.m.

Phyllis Tegels Redlinger was born on May 24, 1931 at Sac City, Iowa to Andrew and Regina (Wubben) Tegels. She attended Williams #2 rural school, and graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Fonda in 1949.
Phyllis married Raymond Redlinger on November 28, 1950 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church by Rev. John Howley. To this union 2 daughters were born, Linda and Jane. They lived in Fonda many years where she worked in many retail businesses, catered, and worked part time for 10 years for the Iowa Liquor Commission.
Phyllis and Raymond moved to their farm north of Breda in 1982. Raymond passed away on November 28, 1988. She moved into Breda in 2000, and into SunnyBrook Assisted Living on April 24, 2009. She enjoyed antiques, quilting, gardening, cooking, and traveling. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Parish, and St. Bernard’s Ladies Guild, as well as two card clubs.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Linda (Larry) Reis of Walker, MN, and Jane (Len) Shaw of Venice, FL; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Bernadine) Tegels of Fonda; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; five infant daughters; parents-in-law: Peter and Mary Redlinger; brother Robert (Maude) Tegels; two half-brothers: Leonard and Rueben Tegels; and a half-sister, Dorothy Heisterkamp.
