Joan Boeckman, 75 of Carroll, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at her residence in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, at St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. Lectors for the Funeral Mass will be Kristy McDermott and Karen O’Keefe. Gift Bearers will be Deb Nieland and Tim Boeckman. Eucharistic Minister will be Cheryl Stork. Casket Bearers will be Joan’s nieces and nephews. Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Breda.
Visitation will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. on Monday at Holy Spirit Church.

The daughter of August and Florence (Bergman) Boeckman, Joan was born on November 8, 1946, in Carroll, Iowa. She spent her younger years in Breda and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School. Joan then moved to Omaha where she furthered her education and worked various job until 2008 when she returned to the Carroll area. Joan enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family and attending all the Boeckman family gatherings. Joan was a member of St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.
Joan is survived by her sister, Kathleen Fox of Atlanta, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pudenz of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, August and Florence Boeckman; her brothers, Otmer Boeckman, Duane Boeckman, and Larry Boeckman in infancy; her sister-in-law, Madonna Boeckman; and her brother-in-law, Jim Fox.
